Robbie Williams s-a inspirat de la un grup de turisti straini, cu care s-a intalnit in Elvetia, turisti care desi nu stiau engleza fredonau versurile la I Will Survive. Cantecul este un tribut adus soferului englez de formula 1 Jackie Stewart, care apare in imagini din videoclip combinate digital cu imagini ale lui Robbie care joaca rolul unui sofer, “competitor” de-al lui Stewart.
